Corporate Wellbeing & Stress - News
Numerous reports are appearing in the media and in trade journals outlining the benefits of a healthier workforce. For example, Prudential undertook a wellness pilot programme and as a result identified absence levels dropped by 70% per person and is now rolling out a much larger programme. In today's business world, many companies are finding it difficult to recruit and retain staff just on pay alone. Potential employees now look for added benefits and signs that their company care about them - wellbeing programs are part of this. In another year-long study, the findings reported that a workplace wellbeing programme can generate a return on investment of nearly 400% for employers; also, that unhealthy staff effectively work for one day less each week than their healthier colleagues.
