First Aid at Work Refresher - HSE Approved
Duration: 2 days
Qualification:
Recognised First Aider in the
Workplace, valid for three years. ASET Level 2 award.
Who is it for?
- First aid at work certificate holders who need to meet legal
requirements of renewing their certificate.
- A copy of the current certificate must be sent before the booking can be
accepted.
- Certificates can be renewed up to three months before the expiry date of
their certificate.

- Managing an incident
- Roles and responsibilities of employers and employees for first aid at
work
- Communication and delegation in an emergency
- How to transport a casualty
- Care of an unconscious person
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Disorders of the airway
- Dealing with blood loss and shock
- Reasons for loss of consciousness
- Burns and scalds
- Injuries to bones, muscles and joints
- Poisoning
- Recognising and managing major and minor illnesses
- Eye injuries
- Infection control
- Miscellaneous injuries
- Recognition of minor illnesses and appropriate action
- Managing the transportation of a casualty
